I got my start in the mortgage industry back in 2002 as a loan officer. Not long after, I was promoted to branch manager—a role I held for four years. I enjoyed leading a team and helping others grow, but what I really missed was the part of the job that got me into this business to begin with: helping people achieve the dream of homeownership and build wealth through real estate.

Since then, I’ve worked for both banks and mortgage companies, and I’ve also spent time as a mortgage broker. Through it all, I’ve seen the mortgage process become more complex and frustrating for homebuyers—something I’m on a mission to change.

I believe getting a mortgage doesn’t have to feel like getting a root canal. My goal is to create an experience where clients actually understand what’s happening and why. I want people to feel empowered and informed, not confused by red tape or shifting guidelines. When you know what to expect, the process feels less stressful—and that helps both me and the real estate agents I partner with deliver smoother, more enjoyable closings.

Over the past 20+ years, I’ve seen a lot of change in this industry, and I expect even more to come. While many are burning out or walking away, I still look forward to showing up every day. The smiles and laughter at the closing table make it all worth it.
